Novelome

Terms of Service

Effective date: 22 June 2026 · Last updated: 22 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of Novelome (novelome.com), operated by Novelome LLC ("Novelome", "we", "us"). By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Novelome. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Novelome maps books by how they read and recommends titles based on your taste. Recommendations are provided for your personal, non-commercial use and are offered as-is — we don't guarantee a particular book will suit you, be available, or be accurately described.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Novelome. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You can use Novelome without an account, or sign in by email "magic link." You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. Tell us promptly at info@novelome.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add — your imported reading lists, ratings, profile, and anything you choose to share. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process that content solely to operate and improve the service for you (for example, to generate your recommendations and display content you choose to make public). You're responsible for content you share publicly, and you agree not to post anything unlawful, infringing, or abusive.

5. Acceptable use

When using Novelome, you agree not to:

6. Affiliate links & third-party sites

Novelome includes links to retailers and libraries (e.g., Amazon, Bookshop.org, Audible, Libby). We participate in the Amazon Associates and Bookshop.org affiliate programs and may earn a commission on qualifying purchases, at no additional cost to you. This never influences which books we recommend. Third-party sites are outside our control and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; we aren't responsible for them or for any purchase you make there.

7. Intellectual property

The Novelome name, the service, its design, and our original recommendation data (including the "book genome"/taste model) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Book titles, descriptions, covers, and related metadata are the property of their respective owners and are sourced from third parties such as Google Books and Open Library. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that recommendations will meet your expectations or that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Novelome and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which is typically zero) or US $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Novelome and its operators from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using Novelome and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive termination.

12. Changes to the service or Terms

We may update the service or these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give more prominent notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
