Novelome (novelome.com) maps books by how they actually read and recommends titles that match your taste. This policy covers the website and, where applicable, our mobile apps.

We do not collect payment card details (we don't sell anything directly), and we don't knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal data.
Novelome is cookieless. We set no third-party, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies — ever. We use your browser's local storage only for what's strictly necessary to run the app: keeping you signed in and remembering your shelf, ratings, and taste profile on your device. Because this storage is essential to the service you asked for, it doesn't require a consent banner.
For product analytics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless, no fingerprinting) plus a lightweight in-app event log that records anonymous actions — for example, a page visit or opening a station — under a random identifier stored only on your device, never linked to your name or email. The basis for this is our legitimate interest in understanding which features work; the data is aggregate and is not used to track you across other websites.
Your choice: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal, Novelome automatically logs nothing and stores no analytics identifier at all. You can also opt out by using Novelome without an account, or by clearing your browser storage. We never sell or share this data, and there are no advertising trackers to turn off — there simply aren't any.

Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process data under: contract (to provide the service and your account), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the product, using privacy-friendly analytics), and consent where required. You can withdraw consent or object at any time (see your rights below).

We keep your account and reading data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with law or resolve disputes. Anonymous analytics may be retained in aggregate.
We protect data with measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and database row-level security that restricts each account's data to that account. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Novelome is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
